Extra Virgin Finishing Oil
SGS report CG26-001040.001-A-R01 (25 March 2026). All fatty-acid markers are within the Codex range for avocado oil.
The numbers that matter most
Lead, arsenic, mercury & copper — all tested, full numbers below.
Reported by SGS; not an acid-value result.
Below the Codex supplementary maximum for virgin oil (15 meq/kg).
As reported by the laboratory; not a standalone purity assessment.

|---|---|---|
| Lead (Pb) | BLQ | 0.03 |

⚗️ Quality — freshness & stability
| Parameter | Result | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| % FFA | 0.96% | Reported by SGS; not an acid-value result. — reported FFA; Codex acid value uses mg KOH/g, not % FFA |
| Peroxide Value (PV) | 8.74 meq/kg | Below the Codex supplementary maximum for virgin oil (15 meq/kg). — lower means less oxidation |
| UV Absorbance (ΔK) | 0.004 | Reported result; no avocado-oil Codex ΔK limit applied. — reported result; no avocado-oil ΔK limit applied here |
| Total Tocopherols | Not included in this report | — reported result, not a pass/fail threshold |
CXS 210-1999 Appendix: supplementary quality reference, not full-batch certification.
🌿 Purity — fatty acid profile
This is avocado oil's fingerprint — unlike the parameters above, these work as a band, not a ceiling. A result far outside the typical range (not just high or low) is what signals dilution with another oil.
Codex bands below are % of total fatty acids. SGS results are reported as g/100 g; marker comparison is withheld until the laboratory confirms an equivalent reporting basis. These ranges do not establish full compliance.
Reference: Codex CXS 210-1999, Table 1 and Appendix. BLQ means below the laboratory quantification limit, not zero. A laboratory LOQ is not a safety limit.
Most cooking oils are never tested batch-by-batch or shared with consumers. At The Avo Company, every batch is tested and explained — so you know what you're using every day.
